On the banks of the River Thames in London the impressive Globe Theatre sits some 230 metres from the site of the original theatre. The building itself is a work of art, however for this design we turn our attention to the iron gates which face the river. The gate contains 125 cast iron figures made by over 100 different blacksmiths all over the world. The figures depict plants, animals and creatures from Shakespeare’s plays.
